Yorkshire first for nurse call system

Broomgrove Nursing Home in Sheffield has become the first in Yorkshire to roll out a pioneering new generation of nurse call system.

Courtney Thorne’s Altra Care nurse call system was unveiled at the home by Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Councillor Anne Murphy.

Donna Pierpoint, the manager at Broomgrove said: “We’re constantly on the lookout for ways we can improve resident care and provide them with an extra level of safety and reassurance. This new nurse call system is absolutely fantastic.”

Installation of the system was funded by the legacies of two residents of the home.

Courtney Thorne, which boasts 50 years’ experience in the nurse call industry, provides a non-disruptive and simple installation of adaptable and easy to move devices.

Donna added: “As a manager I can now rest easy knowing I have a future proof and reliable system that both my residents and staff have trust in.”
