Pupils at an Essex primary school have made a video recording of a Christmas classic to bring festive cheer to care home residents and staff.
The pupils at Grove Wood Primary School in Rayleigh filmed their rendition of the Bing Crosby classic, ‘White Christmas’, for all the care home residents and staff who have had a particularly tough year.
Head teacher Rich Green told CHP: “The children had so much fun making the recordings. Normally at this time of year we hold an outdoor carol service which is attended by parents, grandparents and the wider community but this year it was just not possible.
“Instead we opted to make videos that we could share and, as the children had been making cards for residents in care homes, we chose to dedicate this particular video to the residents, carers and relatives who we know have had such a tough year.”
