US-style ‘later living’ homes to revolutionise UK retirement market


Developer Elysian Residences is seeking to change the face of the UK later living market with a £500m expansion project.

The developer is launching two luxury residences with 5-star hotel-like concierge services, including one-bed apartments prices starting from £490,000 and penthouses at £1.25m and upwards.

Situated in Merrion Avenue, Stanmore, The Landsby, which is designed by London architect Collado Collins, provides 101 luxury one, two and three apartments with facilities including a library, spa and gymnasium.

The Oren, which is designed by RIBA Stirling prize-winning architects Stanton Williams, is situated in West Heath Road, Hampstead.

The Oren provides 46 luxury two and three bedroom apartments with facilities, including on-site spa and pool, gourmet-style restaurant, chauffeur service and integrated care.

Elysian Residences, which is partnering with US firm One Eighty, has acquired two further sites in Loughton and Runneymede with the four sites combined providing over 400 new-build homes.
