Elderly care provider TLC Care has been recognised as one of the UK’s top employers by a prestigious accreditation group.

The care home operator was awarded Platinum status, the highest accreditation awarded to only 2% of 8,000 applicants, in recognition of it how it invests in employees at all levels of the business and enshrines its values in every aspect of its work.

Paavan Popat, Chief Executive of TLC Care, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised as one of the UK’s top employers by Investors in People.

“TLC Care has worked incredibly hard to make sure our team members have the resources and opportunities to grow, both professionally and personally. We know that our teams work in care because they want to improve the lives of our residents, and we consider it our duty and privilege to make sure their efforts are rewarded.”

Paavan highlighted the “outstanding work” by chief operating officer, Lorna Badrick, over the last year in ensuring everyone at TLC Care had a career they can progress in and be proud of.

He added: “I hope this accreditation will encourage more people to work in social care and show that it is a highly skilled and rewarding career.”

TLC Care provides nursing, residential and dementia care for over 450 residents across London, Cambridge, Surrey and Hertfordshire. Assessors praised the company for making sure that everyone – from the home managers to chefs and housekeepers – was empowered to perform at their best and was supported to continually develop according to their own capabilities.
