Cheshire based Endo Enterprises is helping care homes save more than 15% on their heating costs this winter through its advanced water treatment solution, EndoTherm.
Recent trials of the award winning and independently accredited energy saving central heating additive took place at Pastoral Healthcare’s TyCatrin Care Home in Cardiff, Wales and Bondcare Group’s Nelson Manor Care Home in Nelson, Lancashire.
TyCatrin, which cares for people with mental illnesses and personality disorders, consists of five separate units, each with a garden, and contains flats and community-based staff housing.
During the one-month trial, 18 litres of EndoTherm were added to the home’s boilers.
As a result, the home achieved energy, cost and CO2 savings of 15.6%, £22.60 and 184kg, respectively.
Nelson Care Homes is a 70-bed facility, of which 65 beds were occupied during the one-month trial.
The home’s trial involved adding 15 litres of EndoTherm to its two Sentinal Vitoden 200 (80kW) boilers.
The trial produced energy, cost and CO2 savings of 21.5%, £115 and 935kg, respectively.
