Springfield Healthcare has celebrated the first anniversary of its Seacroft Green Care Centre in Leeds.

The tailor made nursing facility, which was designed by Norr architects, provides innovative, fully integrated nursing care that facilitates hospital discharges.

General manager Liza Murphy said: “It’s a privilege and an honour to work with the whole team here and knowing that we have the support of Springfield’s regional team of quality, training and medications managers is a huge boost too. I’m delighted to be here to celebrate our first birthday and look forward to many more!”

The centre, which provides nursing, nursing dementia, intermediate and transitional care, in addition to suites for working age adults and those living with life limiting illnesses, has created 80 new jobs over the past twelve months.

A relative of a resident recently wrote: “My great-grandma has been in this care centre for about three months now and she loves it. The staff are absolutely amazing and wonderful people; can’t do enough for you. Carers are so efficient and so lovely.”

Seacroft Green Care Centre is part of a multi-million pound expansion programme by Springfield Healthcare Group, one of Yorkshire’s oldest care providers, which is set to establish four further care villages providing wide ranging, compassionate care in the heart of communities.
