Sky-diving Hannah conquers fears to smash charity fundraising target

EveryLIFE Technologies’ Hannah Montgomery has taken to the skies to complete a parachute jump – and raised more than £1,000 for Contact the Elderly in the process.

The market controller conquered her fear of heights by jumping out of a plane from 10,000 feet, strapped to an instructor.

She admits that it felt like she couldn’t breathe during the freefall, but is immensely proud of seeing it through.

Hannah had hoped to raise £500 for Contact the Elderly but more than doubled her target.

“I am completely overwhelmed by people’s generosity for such a great cause, so not only did I pay for my jump so all the money would go to the charity I have also committed to pledging my time to volunteer for Contact the Elderly,” she told Care Home Professional.

Hannah 2Mary Rance, CEO of Contact the Elderly, said prior to the jump that it was hugely grateful for the fundraising support.

“As the UK population continues to age, the demand for our service has never been greater and therefore the support of individuals like Hannah is imperative to our work. With 91p of every pound going directly towards the growth of our tea party groups, there has never been a better way to support those who are completely cut off from society,” she said.

Hannah’s fundraising page is still open for those wishing to donate. Click HERE to access it.
