Scottish care operator provides £2,000 welcome bonus for new nurses

Award winning north Scotland care home provider, Parklands Care Homes, is offering a £2,000 welcome bonus to new full-time nurses.

The move, which is designed to address the shortage of nurses across the UK, also includes a ‘refer a friend’ bonus scheme for existing staff in a bid to encourage more people to work in the care sector.

Manuela Flueckiger, Manager of People and Culture at Parklands Care Homes, said: “The UK has a severe shortage of nurses which means we have to compete to attract high calibre professionals. We want the best for our residents, after all, so for a limited time we’re offering a £2,000 welcome bonus for new nurses.

“Parklands operates in smaller, rural communities across the Highlands and Moray, areas with a limited pool of available and qualified staff. Our hope is that this incentive will encourage nurses in other parts of Scotland, and indeed across the UK, to consider working in these beautiful locations and join our award-winning team.”

Parklands Care Homes operates nine homes in Moray and the Highlands.
