Richmond Villages welcomes first residents to £30m Witney complex

Witney Village

Richmond Villages has officially opened a £30 million retirement village in Witney, Oxfordshire.

The complex was completed on schedule, just 18 months after the Bupa-owned company broke ground on the project.

Seventeen of the properties in the first phase of Village Apartments are now occupied, with more people moving in throughout February, the company says.

The successful pre-sale of units has prompted Richmond Villages to accelerate work on phase two of the project, which will see additional properties ready in October this year.

“It’s wonderful to welcome our first new residents to Witney”, said Paddy Brice, managing director of Richmond Villages, “and we hope everyone settles in to their new home quickly and enjoys the new life this exciting and growing village community will be able to offer.”

Every Village Apartment has a sitting room, fitted kitchen, one or two bedrooms, bathroom en-suite to master bedroom, and high quality fixtures and fittings.

On site facilities include a swimming pool, art and craft room, library and IT suite.

The village has its own on-site domiciliary care agency registered with the CQC that provide flexible support with individually tailored care packages.
