Person Centered Software, a specialist in smartphone-based care planning systems, has helped six care homes out of a total of just over 100 secure Outstanding overall ratings from the CQC.
The industry average is just 0.6% of residential care homes and 0.4% of care homes with nursing achieving Outstanding overall ratings in the past 12 months.
Jonathan Papworth, CEO of Person Centred Software told Care Home Professional at the Health+Care show today that his commitment is to help companies improve care, not simply install a care planning system.
“We have even had one instance where a care home’s rating has not improved, and we have gone back into that home to train them to use the system as part of a care improvement programme,” Mr Papworth added.
Person Centred Software allows carers to constantly follow and update care plans hosted on a central server via a smartphone or iPod-based app. Care Home Professional saw the system in action at Drovers House, a modern care home run by WCS Care; an operator that itself has earned Outstanding ratings for three out of its 12 care homes.
