Outstanding Society director Zoe Fry sells West Sussex nursing home

Outstanding Society director Zoe Fry has sold her ‘Outstanding’ rated nursing home in a deal carried out by Christie & Co.

Valerie Manor has been purchased by Asim Chaudhary who already owns a number of care homes in West Sussex.

“After owning Valerie Manor for 13.5 years, I made the most difficult decision of my life to sell my home along with planning permission for a 30 bedded home on the adjacent land,” Zoe told CHP.

“We were the first home in 2014 to receive an Outstanding Rating from the CQC in West Sussex and again in 2017 with an Outstanding rating in ‘safe’ along with winning numerous awards throughout the years.

“I think like many, I had been going at 100% even before COVID with the pressure on social care and with COVID added in it was time for me to move on even though we had remained COVID free.”

Zoe told us she would now be focusing on her work with the Outstanding Society.

“I love working in social care so setting up the Outstanding Society as a Community Interest Company with Russell Leese is something that I am incredibly excited about,” Zoe said.

“Sharing best practice, innovation and helping others to improve by providing a free service to all providers is now my focus and look forward to working with providers across the UK.

“Our close partnerships with Skills for Care, Care England and the Care Leaders Network will be invaluable over the coming years. I will also continue to be a Director of West Sussex Partners in Care.”
