The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) is honing plans for the redevelopment of its Fosse House care home in Lincoln.
The not for profit provider is currently re-evaluating the development of the site, which it intends to demolish in February subject to approval.
Plans to redevelop the site, which was closed in the spring this year, could include extra care housing as well as a 70-plus bed care home.
Caroline Dunagan, OSJCT Regional Director for Lincolnshire, said: “Fosse House remains an important part of our planned service provision in the city of Lincoln and the wider county. We are ensuring that we put together exactly the right facilities to meet the needs in the area both now and in the future and are excited to see these come to fruition.”
OSJCT will start the detailed design process in the new year prior to local consultation and planning approval.
The home’s residents were found alternative accommodation when it closed in the spring with the majority going to other OSJCT homes in Lincoln.
