Orders of St John Care Trust makes executive appointment


Jo Blackburn has been appointed Care & Quality director at not for profit provider Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT).

She will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for care services, education and dementia.

“I’m very excited to start this new chapter of my career with OSJCT – one of the country’s very best not-for-profit care providers,” Jo said.

“I know the role will prove challenging, but I’m confident that my past roles and experiences within the healthcare sector will help me thrive in developing and operating a comprehensive quality improvement programme across the Trust.”

Jo has over 30 years’ experience in healthcare in the NHS and the voluntary sector.

She successfully developed and implemented plans aimed at influencing organisational strategy and promoting partnership working across the statutory and voluntary sector as part of End Of Life Care working with the Clinical Commissioning Group in Warwickshire and Coventry.

In addition, she has led on the creation and growth of a Practice Development Team as a director with Help The Hospices.

Most recently, she worked as chief executive and company secretary for a hospice that provided in-patient, community and hospital services.
