Orchard Care Homes has announced the appointment of Tom Brookes as its new CEO.
Tom has been Orchard’s Interim CEO since Paul Mancey’s recent resignation. He has now been appointed permanently to the role following an extensive search by the company for the right candidate.
He said: “Orchard is a robust business and I am looking forward to further improving, expanding and developing the company for the benefit of its stakeholders, staff and the people for which it cares.”
Tom has more than 15 years’ experience of working in the health and social care marketplace in a variety of senior management positions in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
He has worked with Orchard since 2013, initially as a consultant becoming Chief Operating Officer in September 2016.
Robbie Burns, Chairman of Orchard Care Homes, said: “Tom is a highly respected and knowledgeable executive, who has a reputation for strong business leadership.
“The combination of Tom’s sector experience, drive and track record in delivering results make him the ideal candidate to lead Orchard in its future stages of development.”
Orchard Care is among the UK’s top 10 largest providers with more than 80 homes offering and almost 5,000 beds.
