This scheme and the others that we are working on across the south east will provide a luxury home environment for our residents and the best care.”

The development includes a landscaped garden and luxury dining area as well as cinema, library, hair salon, spa treatment room, gym and activity room.

The scheme is part of One Housing’s rapidly growing Extra Care portfolio in London and the south East.

The home has been designed and built by specialist care sector development partners Castleoak and will include pre-fabricated timber frame manufactured at its in-house ISO9001 standard factory.

Craig Currie, chief executive of Castleoak, said: “Our purpose as a business is to create quality living space – and we have a real commitment as a team to deliver this for all our customers. We’re delighted to be One Housing’s development partner for Baycroft Great Baddow. With the project on schedule, we look forward to handing over the keys in September.”

The care home is being built to BREEAM Very Good standard.
