NorseCare is celebrating an awards double at the 18th National Care Awards in London.

As well as being named  Care Home Group of the year, NorseCare’s Lloyd Court Housing with Care scheme in High Kelling, North Norfolk scooped Care Team of the Year.

Karen Knight, NorseCare’s managing director, said: “This is an amazing achievement for us.  I am so pleased for all our teams around our homes and schemes in Norfolk, recognising the fantastic care that they deliver.

“And for the team at Lloyd Court to be rewarded as the best Care Team in the country is terrific; they constantly receive compliments and praise for the care they provide from the tenants and families, so for this to be acknowledged at a national level is very special.”

Judges considered how the care provided to residents and tenants in NorseCare homes and housing with care schemes is person-centred, how they engage in activities, how well-being and social interaction is promoted, as well as how the care homes are actively made to feel homely for residents.

Lloyd Court’s care team were recognised as the best in the country for their continued delivery of high quality care, their enthusiasm in enabling the tenants living at the housing with care team to maintain their independence and meaningful lives, as well as their compassion to care for people at the end of their lives.
