NAIDEX 2017: GrandCare showcases health monitoring system

Care software platform specialist GrandCare showcased its health monitoring system at Naidex at the Birmingham NEC yesterday.

GrandCare is a communication and care solution designed for care home residents and their families and carers.

Sales director Matthew Warnes told Care Home Professional: “Grand Care is an integrated care and social hub which is bringing care into the digital age.”

The digital platform, which received an innovation award at Naidex, records medication administration, as well as blood pressure, pulse and weight readings.

Unusual readings trigger alerts which are automatically sent to GPs.

The system also comes with sensors which can be attached to cabinets or fridges to monitor when medication has been accessed.

Carers can access the system to log care plans and update care notes and tick off tasks.

A video call function enables residents to socialise with groups as well as with family members.

Further functions include photo albums, brain exercises and favourite videos and websites.
