Moment in Time project to preserve experiences of the pandemic

Moment in Time

A new project is to capture the range of experiences of people in social care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Moment in Time is a joint initiative launched by the National Care Forum (NCF), National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) and Beacon Consultancy following work with people and organisations impacted by losses during the pandemic.

People in the sector are being asked to create Moment in Time boxes by collecting mementoes that preserve their memories of the pandemic.

The boxes will be sealed on 19 July 2021 and reopened again on 19 July 2022.

Vic Rayner, CEO of NCF said: “Memories are some of the most precious things to us all. They are part of us, and they remind of us key events in our lives. For many of us, this last year has been one of the most challenging years of our lives and there are many reasons why we might not wish to remember.

“However, together we have a story that is important to tell, and we can piece together the tough times alongside the things that made us feel loved and supported and bring them in one place so that we never forget.”

Free downloadable ‘Moment in Time’ resources and a how to guide are available. To find out more about this project and start your own ‘Moment in Time’ visit: NAPA, NCF and Beacon Consultancy. Keep the conversation going on social media using #Momentintime21.
