Discerning residents want the same quality of care and hospitality in their old age as they have enjoyed throughout their adult lives, which is why they appreciate the comfort of a fine fluffy towel as much as they ever did.
British supplier Mitre Linen is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, and any frequent hotel visitor will probably have already experienced its soft white cotton towels, bathrobes, bath mats and slippers.
In January the company unveiled its biggest ever catalogue showcasing four ranges: Essentials, Comfort, Luxury and Heritage by Mitre. The company will also create bespoke ranges of bed linen and towels for care homes that want to market their personal touch.
“We are proud to have been working with care homes across the country for a number of years. Our attention to detail means we can help them create a unique bathroom range for their establishment, whatever their price range,” Stephen Broadhurst, managing director of Mitre Linen, states.
Mitre appreciates that the care home sector places considerable value on the practicality of its linen. “We understand that they are looking for quality products that wash well as well as for continuity of stock year after year,” Mr Broadhurst says.
The premium end of the care home market is acting more like the top end hotel sector, and its attention to detail in the bathroom is fuelling demand for upmarket products. “Increasingly, premium care home operators are looking for more luxurious products and we are also able to offer products used by some of the country’s top boutique hotels for that extra special touch,” Mr Broadhurst promises.
