Care home provider Milkwood Care has opened a new luxury care home in Monmouth, south east Wales.

The Orchard home, which is run by owners Janet Leech and Robin Cheesman and ,manager Kay Parker, was opened by local MP David Davies.

Home manager Kay Parker said: ” I am delighted to have the opportunity to be the manager of such a beautiful new home.

“Residents will enjoy a rich schedule of activities where they can participate in their favourite pastimes, learn new skills and venture outdoors and they will enjoy an environment where everything is geared towards their well-being.”

The Orchard has been built in the grounds of its sister home Ganarew House in the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean.

The home, which  includes 14 spacious bedrooms, will welcome its first residents in the new year.
