Domestic appliance manufacturer Miele has appointed Sam Bailey as sales and marketing director of its Professional Division.
Sam joins Miele from Dyson where he held a number of key roles overseeing European marketing and global digital operations in its Professional Division before spending time in a global senior commercial role within a high growth category.
He replaces Les Marshall who is retiring after 17 years in the role. Les was responsible for setting up Miele’s successful Professional Partnership programme, which joins together a network of approved partners from around the country with Miele, to provide first class sales and service support to commercial customers.
Sam said: “Miele products are synonymous with quality and longevity and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to re-join the company and continue the great work that Les is leaving behind.
“Miele boasts an impressive and well-established partner programme throughout Great Britain and I look forward to getting to know the partners and working with them to grow Miele’s presence as the industry’s leading commercial laundry, dishwashing and washer disinfection manufacturer.”
Les added: “During my tenure at Miele Professional I have witnessed a number of industry changes and opportunities that have helped to create the successful partnership model that exists today. I’m delighted to be handing the baton onto someone who knows the business and its objectives so well, and I wish Sam every success in his new role.”
