Methodist Homes (MHA) has marked a construction milestone with the topping out of a Middlesborough care home.
The design and build of Montpellier Manor is being carried out by care home construction specialist Angela Swift Developments.
Paul Tonks, Senior Development Manager at MHA, commented: “Today is a big day for everyone involved in this development, but especially for the new team who will soon be welcoming our residents into their new home.
“MHA is passionate about giving each individual the respect and dignity they deserve and the best possible quality of life. We’re delighted that, through Montpellier Manor, we are able to bring MHA’s specialist care to those with dementia in the Middlesbrough area. This wonderful new home will have so much to offer the local community, including bringing 100 new jobs to the area.
“As a purpose-built residential dementia care home, Montpellier Manor has been thoughtfully designed and decorated for the specific needs of its new residents. Safety, familiarity and ease of navigation were front of mind for the teams behind the design and construction.”
Angela Swift, of Angela Swift Developments, added: “It’s an exciting day for the team as we see Montpellier Manor take shape. Although we have reached the highest point in construction, with the full opening just around the corner, we’re very much looking forward to the true high point when the doors are opened and residents are able to settle into their new home.”
Montpellier Manor, which will accommodate up to 85 residents, is due to open in early 2018.
