Maritime charity scoops Laing Buisson award

Maritime charity The Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society was named Residential Care Home Provider of the Year at the Laing Buisson Awards.

The honour recognised the top quality care facilities the independent charity provides for former seafarers and their dependents at its Surrey Belvedere House nursing home.

Chief Executive Commander Brian Boxhall-Hunt said: “I’m so proud of the entire team’s achievements which have culminated in this award win.

The award recognises care providers who go above and beyond to provide innovative care solutions with a commitment to engaging with service users through individualised care plans.

Bringing together the best of the social care scene across the UK the Laing Buisson awards highlight industry excellence among 40 finalists across nine categories.
