Luxury care home reaches construction milestone

Oakdale Care Group and LNT Care Developments have celebrated a landmark stage in the construction of a luxury care home in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

The last tile has been placed on the roof of Kingfisher Court during a ‘topping out’ ceremony.

Co-founder of Oakdale Care Group, Chris Babington, said: “We are really excited to see Kingfisher Court taking shape, and the ‘topping out’ ceremony brings us one step closer to opening the home.

“We can’t wait to showcase the great facilities we have on offer – it will be a spacious, comfortable and elegant home in a great location that will create around 50 jobs for local people. We are sure it will soon become a key part of the local community, as well as providing a safe and enjoyable home for our residents.”

Following completion in April 2017, Kingfisher Court will house 66 residents.

The purpose-built home has been designed and built by LNT Care Developments and be run by Oakdale Care Group.

The facility will provide residential and dementia care with private rooms each with an accessible en-suite wet room.  There will be many communal areas such as an English tea room, garden lounge, library and cinema room for residents and their visitors.
