LifeCare Residences appoints new general manager

David Knight – LifeCare Residences Grove Place

David Knight has been appointed general manager of LifeCare Residences’ Grove Place in Nursling, Hampshire.

He joins LifeCare from Elmers Court Hotel and Resort near Lymington, part of the Macdonald Hotels group, where he worked as resort general manager.

David said: “Grove Place has set a new standard for retirement communities across Hampshire and the south east, and it’s a privilege to join a company that invests in delivering high quality care and service throughout.

“With over a decade spent working at a senior level in the hospitality sector, guest experience is of the utmost importance to me, and I am enjoying getting to know all of the residents at Grove Place, working closely with them to ensure that they enjoy an enriched quality of life and calibre of care.

“In addition, I look forward to overseeing the expansion of Grove Place, as we deliver an onsite nursing home and expand the number of residential apartments available onsite.”

As general manager at Grove Place, David will be responsible for the successful day-to-day running of the community, ensuring a first-rate level of service for all residents and staff, as well as maintaining and enhancing its person-centred approach to care.
