Staff and residents at Larchwood Care’s Dungate Manor are celebrating after the home completed an impressive turnaround by achieving Good in all CQC categories.

“The team has worked very hard for this result and we are confident we will maintain this rating and build on it.

“Our number one priority is the care of our residents and we hope we will continue to be recognised for this in the future.”

The CQC said: “People said that staff helped them with the little things that made a difference. For example, one person talked to us about how staff had built a memorial garden for their family member who had also been resident at Dungate Manor.”

A family member commented: “The staff here are amazingly patient and have been guided and well trained. The senior staff are very good at guiding the assistants and the teamwork is very good. There seems to be lots of communication.”

Dungate Manor, which provides residential care for up to 38 older people, is managed by Healthcare Management Solutions
