Judges announced for 2021 Leaders in Care Awards

Care Home Professional and Home Care Insight are pleased to announce a prestigious line-up of judges for the 2021 Leaders in Care Awards.

The panel will decide on the winners of this year’s awards, set to take place at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham on October 13, the first night of the Care Show.

Joining the independent judging panel (pictured left to right) are: Dr Jane Townson, CEO of United Kingdom Homecare Association (UKHCA); Kathryn Smith, CEO of the Social Care Institute for Excellence; Professor Martin Green, CEO of Care England; Nadra Ahmed, chair of the National Care Association; and Vic Rayner, executive director of the National Care Forum.

These industry leaders also decided on the winners of last year’s virtual Care Heroes Awards.

Lee Peart, editor of CHP, said: “I couldn’t think of a more fitting line-up of judges to help celebrate the achievements of care teams and individual care professionals across the country.

“Each and every one of them has devoted their working lives to highlighting the crucial role that social care plays in supporting people to live their best lives possible.”

The panel will be tasked with judging from five shortlisted finalists in the following categories.

Registered Manager of the Year
Executive of the Year
Care Home Design of the Year

Business Initiative of the Year

This year’s ceremony, sponsored by Radar Healthcare, will be hosted by social care entrepreneur and international speaker Neil Eastwood.

The evening, will start at 7pm with a drinks reception followed by a three-course dinner and the presentation of awards to the country’s leading providers and suppliers across residential and domiciliary care.
