JonTek exhibits alongside Tynetec for first time since being bought by Legrand

Jontek Ltd has been acquired by the Assisted Living & Healthcare Business Unit of Legrand Electric, where it will work with fellow specialist Tynetec creating solutions for keeping people safe in their own homes.

Jontek offers a telecare response centre solution that monitors people in sheltered accommodation or assisted living. Its aim is to ensure people are safe if they have difficulties, even if they don’t hit an emergency alarm call button.

Individuals can call for assistance in a variety of ways including via mobile phone apps or personal alarms.

An operator receiving alerts can immediately access the individual’s detailed records and take the appropriate response, be that phoning them, sending a carer or alerting emergency services.

Managing director, Chris Dodd commented “The acquisition of Jontek Ltd provides us with a fantastic opportunity to offer complete, integrated solutions to all of our clients, adding greater value and enhanced digital capabilities.”

Jontek and Tynetek exhibited side by side for the first time at Health+Care today, just six weeks since the acquisition was announced in May. Jontek’s customer care support consultant, pictured above, told CHP that she was delighted to be part of the larger group. “Everybody is excited. This creates lots of opportunities for future development and growth.”
