Prince Michael of Kent Court in Watford has become the second RMBI home to gain CQC ‘outstanding’.

The home, which provides residential and dementia support for up 55 residents, joins the top 3% of adult social care services with the CQC’s top rating.

Beverley Roberts, Home Manager at Prince Michael of Kent Court, said: “We are thrilled at receiving our ‘outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission. We’ve worked hard during the past year to raise standards of care at the home and to provide the best support possible for our residents. We’re especially passionate about ensuring residents living with dementia thrive at our home and so it was particularly satisfying that this was highlighted in the report.”

Staff at the home were described as “highly motivated and passionate about providing opportunities for people to continue to live a full and rewarding life”. The CQC praised the service for offering a wide range of hobbies and being driven by the wishes of the people it supported.

Mark LLoyd, Managing Director of RMBI Care Co, said: “I am delighted to see Prince Michael of Kent Court being rated in the top 2 or 3% of highly rated care homes in the country. The rating reflects on the amazing team in place at the home, who at all times focus on the wellbeing and quality of life of people living at the home.  It is fantastic to see this reflected in our regulator’s report.”
