A failing care home has been turned around by HC-One is just six months.
Brindley Court in Stoke on Trent was rated Good by the CQC following an inspection in June, having been previously rated Inadequate in November 2016.
HC-One Brindley Court Care Home Manager Benette Delos Santos said: “We are delighted with this report which is a testament to the hard work that everyone puts in day in day out.
“We have truly come together as a team to ensure that we are delivering the kindest care to residents at Brindley Court.”
HC-One Managing Director Amanda Scott added: “This rating is great news and I would like to thank and congratulate the whole team for their commitment and dedication.
“The health and wellbeing of our residents is at the heart of everything we do, and we are 100% focused on continuing to be the care provider of choice for those looking for the kindest and very best care.”
The CQC said HC-One had taken action to make the improvements required following its last inspection, which found breaches of legal requirements.
The regulator added: “People were supported by staff that cared for them and they had good relationships with staff.
“People were supported to maintain their independence and were involved in all aspects of their care and support. People were treated with dignity and respect and staff observed their privacy.”
