Harrogate-based Vida Hall, Vida Healthcare’s first care home, has been awarded its second Outstanding rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The Vida Healthcare model offers specialist accommodation and full-time care for people with dementia.
Its Vida Hall care home was inspected in early February, with the CQC reporting that the home “fostered high quality, person-centred care”.
The home in Starbeck opened in 2013 after three years of research and planning on how best to create a care home for dementia patients.
Vida Healthcare’s second care home, Vida Grange in Pannal, opened in December 2016, while Vida Court is currently under construction and is due to open in Harrogate in 2021.
James Rycroft, managing director at Vida Healthcare, commented: “The commitment of the team at Vida Hall, highlighted in the inspection report, is what makes our care homes outstanding. We look for kind, caring and compassionate people who value the work that we do and you can see that in the choice and control the residents have over their lives.
“We now have an ‘Outstanding’ rating for both our homes, Vida Hall and Vida Grange, and I’m looking forward to continuing this model which has proved to be such a success in our latest development, Vida Court, which is due to open in spring 2021.”
