Plans to build a new luxury care home in the London Borough of Enfield have been given the go ahead.
Property developer Hamberley Development said work on the 82-bedroom care home is due to begin next month, with the facility welcoming its first residents in the spring of 2023.
The care home will feature a café bistro, a private dining room, a hair salon and nail bar, activity room/bar, a cinema, resident lounges, dining rooms and quiet lounges.
Addition features will include a bespoke COVID-secure visiting site, in-built thermal imaging technology in the entrance lobby and a ventilation system. The home will also have hand washing and hand sanitising stations throughout.
John Austin, Development Director at Hamberley Development, said that the home would bring “truly safe and luxurious care” to the people of Enfield.
He said: “This marks our first luxury care home development in Greater London and we are thrilled to have finally secured planning permission.
“The capital is significantly underserved in terms of quality, high-end luxury care home beds and so we are proud to play our part in bringing a Hamberley Home to North London where we will help meet the care needs of the local community.
“The building will be of the very highest standard, from a safety and wellbeing perspective and also in terms of luxury, comfort and environmental standards. We look forward to welcoming our first residents in 2023.”
