Luxury care home developer, Hamberley Development, has completed a multi-million pound care home for Care UK.
The 70-bed Dashwood Manor in Basingstoke includes a spacious café, private dining room, hair and beauty salon, activity room, resident’s cinema and pub, spacious lounges and dining rooms.
John Austin, Managing Director of Hamberley Development, said: “We are delighted to hand over Dashwood Manor to Care UK on time and on budget, despite the many challenges of the last 16 months. This home is part of a wider healthcare development, including 40 retirement living apartments and a 28-bed neurological rehab care facility.
“Hamberley is committed to planning, designing and building the very highest quality care environments in the UK to ensure that people can access outstanding care provision in their local areas.
“Every aspect of this building is designed to maximise the ability for the provider to deliver safe and truly personalised care, whilst giving the residents, and their families, the feeling of living in luxury.”
Dil Perera, Home Manager for Dashwood Manor, said: “It’s been very exciting to see the development progress since I came on board as Home Manager for Dashwood Manor – Hamberley Development and Highwood Group have done a fantastic job.
“Myself and the team can’t wait to welcome residents and their families to the home when we open this September – I know the lifestyle and facilities will be second to none.”
As well as delivering this home for Care UK the Hamberley team has been busy developing and building homes for its sister operating company, Hamberley Care Homes.
Hamberley Care Homes currently has 12 operating care homes located across the UK including in London, the South of England, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, and Scotland.
Hamberley Development has a pipeline of a total of 20 homes, at various stages of development, and is in discussions with other leading providers to develop homes for their growing groups.
