Hallmark Care Homes’ facility in Merthyr, Wales has unveiled its £800,000 refurbishment to the general public with help from the Mayor, Councillor Margaret Davies and celebrity actor Steve Speirs.

Greenhill Manor, which provides dementia, nursing and young physically disabled care, revealed its new facilities for its 120 residents at an official grand launch event held last Friday.

General manager, Mark McCole said: “We had a fantastic day at the home’s grand relaunch event. The refurbishment will make a huge difference to our residents’ lives at Greenhill Manor.

“We have new facilities and our existing facilities have been upgraded to enhance choices and opportunities within the home. We are proud to have such an amazing environment.”

The homes new facilities now include; an old fashioned pub, a luxurious hair salon, a farmhouse kitchen which will encourage residents to get more involved at mealtimes, a cinema and a café.

Mark and Hallmark Care Homes managing director Avnish Goyal (pictured right with Steve and Margaret) both gave speeches at the special event.

Greenhill Manor Care Home is part of Hallmark Care Homes, the award-winning care provider established in 1997 with 15 care homes across England and Wales.
