Hallmark Care Homes has helped create lasting memories for its residents through a company-wide event.

During Family Portrait Fortnight, residents had professional photographs taken with their loved ones and care teams that they were then given to keep.

Hallmark Care Homes Group Lifestyle’s Manager, Debbie Sharples-Kirkbride MBE, said: “Family Portrait Fortnight has been a great addition to the Hallmark Care Homes calendar of events and it has been extremely well received by the residents and their relatives.

“The purpose of Family Portrait Fortnight was to create a lasting memory for residents and their loved ones. As you get older, less photographs are taken. Family Portrait Fortnight created a sense of occasion and brought generations of families together to take advantage of the opportunity so that they have a professional photograph they can keep, be proud of and show to others.”

The event was designed to help build relationships between residents and their loved ones and care teams.

Each event was supported by the homes’ lifestyle teams who arranged additional activities, including professional entertainment, bubbly and access to each homes’ hairdressing and therapy facilities so that residents could have their hair and nails done and feel special in advance of having their picture being taken.
