The Grand takes on new leadership for its flagship home

Fast growing care home operator, New Care, has appointed Yana Whitehouse, from Chesterfield in Derbyshire, as registered manager for its flagship care home, The Grand in Nottingham.

In her new role, Whitehouse will be responsible for the state-of-the-art 82-bed care facility on Greythorn Drive, its 82 residents and 100-strong employee team.  She will work to ensure that the home is safe, caring, responsive, effective and well.

She is also tasked with ensuring the home complies with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and will oversee ongoing training and development to ensure the staff team meets New Care’s exacting standards.

Having worked within the industry for more than 30 years Whitehouse is well qualified for her new position.

She said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed by New Care and am looking forward to being part of the company’s growth in the future.  I will work with my team to ensure that The Grand is the care home of choice in Nottingham, with a reputation for outstanding provision in care for the elderly and a safe and happy environment that offers peace of mind for loved ones and family members.”

CEO at New Care, Chris McGoff, added: “We were impressed when we first met Yana and knew that she would be a great asset to our team in Nottingham.  I’m very confident that she will build upon the already high standards at The Grand and that the home is in good hands under her leadership.”
