Geberit provides award winning touch

Sanitary industry leader Geberit has helped Signature Senior Lifestyle’s Bentley House become an award winner.

Geberit-fitted bathrooms were a key contributor to the home winning Hertfordshire Building Futures Award for ‘Retrofit of the future’ and The Hilden Style Award for Most Stylish Care Home.

Geberit Sigma and Geberit Omega frames and flush plates provided a stylish look for the home’s bathrooms while also offering the practical benefits of saving water and being easier to use for those with impaired vision.

Sue Dee, interior designer for leisure concepts, who created the scheme, said: “It is an essential factor in our interior design to provide the functionality and ease of use required by the end user, without compromising on the quality or style of the interior presentation.

“We do not believe it is necessary to make this type of interior look institutional and, whilst there are demanding circumstances, we do not want the residents to feel as though they are in a hospital, but a well-thought-out, attractive and homely environment.

“It may seem like a small thing, but the elements that people touch and feel, those that they use every day, such as a flush plate, can reinforce the non-institutional message. The Geberit Sigma and Geberit Omega flush plates and frames tick all the boxes; they are simple and easy to use, the flush plates are clearly visible, robust, well made…. and stylish too.”
