Outsource catering specialist Elior has won a deal to provide food to residents of 96 Four Seasons Health Care homes across the East and North-West of England.
As part of the contract, 500 catering staff from Four Seasons will be moving to be employed by Elior, while 120 chefs and care home managers will be trained in how to benefit from working with the outsource catering company.
Rachael Junge, Four Seasons Health Care managing director in the North-West, said: “At Four Seasons we pride ourselves on providing special resident experiences and the food we serve on a daily basis is a huge part of our residents’ day. Our partnership with Elior has helped us to consistently offer nutritious meals that residents love.”
Elior promises to remove the day to day problems of running a food service operation, allowing clients to concentrate on providing the best care to residents.
The company works with Age UK to develop training programmes based on the best research and most progressive thinking on nutritional and psychological importance of food and dining to older people in care.
