Four Seasons’ Charnwood care home in Nottingham has been rated ‘inadequate’ for the third time in six months by the CQC.
While noting “some improvements” since the last inspection, the CQC said other concerns had been raised and the manager and provider “had not ensured a consistently safe service”.
The CQC said the service remain in breach of safe care and treatment, and governance Health and Social Care Act Regulations and had breached CQC regulations by not informing the regulator of events that had taken place.
Improvements were noted in relation to medicines management and cleanliness but the CQC said incidents were not always properly recorded and referred to the local authority for investigation and systems and process to identify shortfalls and improve the quality of care were not always effective.
A Four Seasons spokesperson said: “We are sorry that Charnwood Care Home remains well below the standards that we expect of our homes. We are continuing to implement our comprehensive improvement plan and positive progress has been made. Our new Home Manager is supported by a highly skilled Resident Experience Manager full-time on-site. We continue to work closely with the CQC and the local authority to advise of changes made and improvement achieved.”
