Staff and residents at Four Seasons’ Langley Park Care Home in Durham are celebrating achieving an Outstanding CQC rating.
CQC inspectors said that people living in the home felt safe and supported and they were treated with care, understanding and consideration.
Jacky Reed, interim Regional Managing Director of Four Seasons Health Care, said: “It’s a credit to the dedication of the care team that Langley Park was rated as Outstanding and heartening to see the very positive comments by relatives and care professionals.”
The home has achieved overall customer satisfaction ratings averaging 99% in recent months in feedback from residents, their relatives and visiting health and care professionals.
An independent survey carried out in the home in 2016, which considered the views of 31 people, 100%, said they were treated with kindness, dignity and respect.
Inspectors praised the home’s open and relaxed culture and the warm affectionate relationship between carers and residents.
The inspectors said: “The mood set by staff was infectious. This led to a happy and contented atmosphere.”
One relative said: “The care is excellent. Staff always have time to spend with people. All the staff know people well and interact with all the residents…They do the job damned well…. Staff seem to have had all the relevant training especially in dementia.”
A visiting care professional added: “This service is outstanding in that staff genuinely care and want to make a difference across the board.”
