A former nursing home in Hampshire has been sold out of administration to specialist operator Bramley Health in an undisclosed deal.

Fieldgate House in Horndean, a 25-bedroom nursing home and registered for 29 service users, closed in September 2020 as the owning company Extraservices Ltd, went into administration.

Quantuma Advisory Ltd was appointed as administrators of Extraservice Ltd and instructed Christie & Co to market the property on its behalf.

An initial marketing campaign resulted in a high level of early interest with offers in excess of the asking price being received.

The property has been purchased by specialist health and social care provider, Bramley Health, who plan to reopen following a refurbishment.

Speaking on behalf of the company, chairman, Mr Gordon Phillips, comments: “This is an ideal purchase for our company. We are a specialist Health and Social Care provider based in the South of England and our key focus is to support individuals with complex and challenging needs to maximise their independence and to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. After some internal alterations, we plan to reopen the property as a specialist care facility.”

Charles Phillips, director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, adds, “We were delighted to act on behalf of Quantuma Advisory and were very pleased with the high level of interest and multiple offers received for this property. We are confident that Bramley Health will do very well with its new purchase and look forward to seeing its success.”
