Finalists announced for the 2020 Care Heroes Awards

Care Home Professional (CHP) and sister title Home Care Insight (HCI) are delighted to announce the finalists for the 2020 Care Heroes Awards.

The Awards were launched earlier this year to celebrate the outstanding achievements of social care teams and individuals throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

There are six categories in total – three for care homes and three for domiciliary care – each recognising the bravery and dedication of this often unsung workforce.

The winners are being decided by a prestigious panel of judges and will be revealed during Care Heroes Awards Week next month.

The judges are: Professor Martin Green OBE, CEO of Care England, Dr Jane Townson, CEO of United Kingdom Homecare Association (UKHCA); Kathryn Smith, CEO of the Social Care Institute for Excellence; and Vic Rayner, executive director of the National Care Forum.

The winners will be unveiled through video presentations that will be premiered online on our YouTube channel and promoted across all our digital platforms, with a dedicated broadcast made to thousands of industry professionals for each category announcement. These category announcements will be accompanied by interviews with our category winners, our commercial partners and supported by extensive sponsor branding.

Our winners and four highly commended nominees for each category will also be showcased in the November issue of Care Home Professional and Home Care Insight.
