EXCLUSIVE: Clydesdale & Yorkshire Banks fund luxury care home

A multi-million pound funding package has helped build a purpose-built luxury care home in Birstall, Leicestershire.

The money for Cinnamon Care’s 73-bed Cedar Mews was provided by Clydesdale Bank’s Specialist and Acquisition Finance team.

Declan Walsh, managing director of Cinnanom Care, said: “We are pleased to have secured funding for Cedar Mews, Cinnamon Care’s latest care home in Birstall, Leicester.

“We have developed a strong relationship with Clydesdale Bank, this being our fifth care home funded by them, which we look forward to continuing as we grow our business.”

Gavin Dean, senior director, Specialist and Acquisition Finance team, said: “We are delighted to be able to support the development of this fantastic facility as part of our longstanding relationship with owners, Cinnamon Care Capital.

“We’re sure it will provide an excellent service to those who need it.”

The home’s ‘state-of-the-art’ facilities include a cinema, spacious residents’ lounges, large bedrooms and en-suite wetrooms.

Cedar Mews, which employs a staff of around 100, boasts fine dining as well as a range of activities as well as high standards of health and dementia care.
