Management platform provider everyLIFE Technologies has launched a new video designed to inspire people to become carers.
‘Live to Care. Care to Live’ aims to shatters preconception about the profession by showcasing the diverse and exciting lives of carers.
everyLIFE CEO Paul Barry said: “Care is changing, and part of that change is recognising that care workers of the future will need to have a very different perception of how care is valued by society if the industry is to attract and retain the talent it requires.
“everyLIFE, with its market leading care management platform, the PASSsystem, is part of that change. Around 10,000 care and nursing staff use the PASSsystem each day in residential and homecare services across the UK – supporting them to be the best care workers in the world.
“This short film pays tribute to these incredible people, doing an incredibly valuable job. Shattering preconceptions and demonstrating how care is changing, this film showcases how interesting and diverse the people that work in the care sector really are.”
CQC chief inspector Andrea Sutcliffe recently highlighted the current crisis in nursing recruitment (see CQC highlights nursing crisis).
Ms Sutcliffe’s remarks follow a report which warned that the care sector faces a potential shortfall of 1m workers over the next 20 years (see Brexit threat to care workforce).
