Encore has opened its Great Oaks residential, nursing and dementia care home in Bournemouth.
The 80-bed purpose-built care home is the second service to be launched by Encore in six months following the opening of Fairmile Grange in December.
Home Manager Ian MacDonald said: “I am excited to be leading an incredible team of care professionals. Their compassion and kindness are at the core of everything that we do. Whether you would like to attend an Open Day, a special event, or you would just like to pop in for a cuppa and take a look around – our doors are always open.”
Situated in private woodland, Great Oaks’s design incorporates large bedrooms with en suite wet rooms.
All bedrooms include movement triggered lighting and adaptable lighting levels.
The building’s design also includes underfloor heating for efficiency and the wellbeing of residents.
Encore provides residential, nursing, dementia, Alzheimer’s, palliative and respite care.
The group operates three care homes and has plans for a mixed use development in Taunton, including a 62-bed care home, as well as a 76-bed care home with 26 extra care lodges in Pembury.
Encore also operates a joint venture offering NHS services at its Fairmile Nursing Grange care home.
