An Edinburgh care home is part of a £8.5m refurbishment programme rolled out by leading provider, HC-One.

The £8.5 million investment, which was paused during the pandemic, will see 23 care homes, including Victoria Manor, benefit from the refurbishment and upgrade programme.

Work on the initiative, which is part of HC-One’s vision to be the UK’s first choice in the community it serves, began in August and is due to be completed by October.

HC-One Area Director, Heather Leighton, said: “We’re really excited that our plans are safely underway at Victoria Manor. We look forward to seeing the end result, and when it is safe to do so, welcoming more visitors to see our new look.”

As well as the extensive refurbishment programme with each area being thoughtfully designed to support the mind, body and soul, Victoria Manor will also be opening, Saxe Coburg, a new luxury, state-of-the-art accommodation within the home’s community, which provides a beautiful home-from-home environment.

Located on Albert Street, Victoria Manor care home offers short- and long-term care packages for older ladies and gentlemen in Edinburgh that require nursing and nursing memory care for those living with dementia.
