Derbyshire care home rated Good after poor previous inspection

Darley Hall Care Home

In 2017 Darley Hall Care Home in Derbyshire received a Requires Improvement rating, but based on its recent inspection the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has deemed it Good across the board.

The home, which offers non-nursing support for elderly residents with cognitive or physical impairments, was rated Good in all five categories – safety, effectiveness, care, responsiveness and leadership.

In its last inspection, the Derbyshire care home was deemed as ‘requiring improvement for its leadership’.

Since then the home has come under new management and has benefitted from multiple renovations.

CQC’s report on Darley Hall Care Home stated: “People’s privacy and dignity was respected at all times.

“Staff knew people well and everyone felt like they were family. People were encouraged to maintain their own schedules and to pursue activities and interests individual to them.

“The staff supported people to remain as independent as possible.”

This news means that all Ivonbrook Properties’ homes now boast the Good rating.
