A public consultation into the future of care homes in the Denbighshire towns of Corwen, Denbigh, Rhyl and Ruthin ended this week.
The council is considering transferring the ownership of four homes to a private operator in a move that it hopes will save almost £700,000 for local taxpayers.
The public consultation began in October last year.
On January 14, the council said that it had secured a better than expected settlement with the Welsh Government for this financial year, which allowed it to limit its overall local tax increase to 1.5% for the 2016/17 budget.
Funding for adult social care is a key priority for the Welsh Assembly.
