Dechoker UK has signed up Yorkshire-based Curve Learning as a new training partner.
The partnership will provide training opportunities to Dechoker UK customers and will see the standard adoption of the Dechoker anti choking device by Curve Learning clients.
Matt Oakley, Director of Dechoker UK, said: “From our first conversation with Curve Leaning we were impressed with the way they have their customer’s interests at the forefront of what they do.
“As an organisation they are both very experienced and very respected when it comes to delivering training into the sector which made it a very simple decision to work together.”
Choking remains one of the sector’s biggest issues as the challenges faced often make it difficult to both prevent or to deal with the serious and life-threatening events when they occur.
Sarah Roe, Training Manager of Curve Learning, added: “I’m thrilled that Curve are now working with Dechoker.
“As a first aid training provider into the health and social care sector, we often hear about staff experiences where they have had to deal with individuals with blocked airways.
“We are now able to demonstrate a new technique along with the traditional methods. The Dechoker offers a solution to many of the problems faced by care staff when an individual is choking and has really enhanced our advice to our learners.”
