Greenbanks Nursing Home in Liphook, Hampshire has been sold for an undisclosed sum by specialist healthcare business agents DC Care.

The home was bought by experienced south east care providers Kindred Care.

Yasheen Rajan of Kindred Care said: “Greenbanks is a fantastic home. Smaller homes have the benefit of a much greater familial setting. We believe this is how people prefer to be cared for. We plan to invest substantially in Greenbanks and create a beacon for dementia care. Making it an integral part of the local community is at the forefront of our mind.”

The deal, which was completed on 25 January, was DC Care southern office’s first sale of 2017 following a record breaking 2016.

Speaking on behalf of DC Care, business appraiser Andy Sandel, said: ”It’s good to start the year with some good news, and both myself and Clare Duffey who managed the sale, are delighted for the vendors, and of course for Mr Rajan. Liphook is a desirable location on the Hampshire, Surrey border and Greenbanks is a very well presented and managed nursing home; the sale works well for both parties.”

Greenbanks, which provides nursing and personal care for older people including those living with dementia was rated ‘good’ in its last inspection by the CQC in November.
